Does this halo downlight need plastering like a gypsum downlight?
No. It fits into a 75mm ceiling cut-out and is secured using spring clips. It does not require plaster-in finishing, sanding or repainting. The recessed design creates a similar soft halo and anti-glare effect while avoiding the additional renovation work associated with gypsum downlights.
Can I use either a GU10 bulb or an LED module?
Yes. This fitting supports a separately purchased GU10 bulb or a compatible LED module with driver. For an LED module, ensure its diameter and overall size are similar to a standard GU10 bulb so it fits securely inside the fitting. A GU10 bulb is generally easier to replace without changing the driver.
